Trauma Informed Healing: The Complete Path Back to Delight

You have done so much to be okay. You have read the books, listened to the talks, tried the practices, held it together for everyone else. And still, in the quiet moments, something old rises up. A flash of fear with no clear reason. A wall that goes up the moment someone gets close. A heaviness that greets you in the morning before your feet touch the floor. Trauma informed healing meets that part of you with care.

My sister, come in. You are so welcome here. I want you to hear this first, before anything else: everything in you makes sense. What you carry is real, it makes sense, and it can transform. This is what trauma informed healing means to me. It honors everything you have lived through, and it walks with you, at your pace, all the way back to the delight that has been waiting under every layer.

I call this path trauma-informed transformation. It is the heart of everything I offer. It is how I guide women through 12 emotional gateways, one at a time, until they remember who they were before the world told them otherwise.

What Trauma Informed Healing Truly Means

Trauma informed healing begins with a simple, sacred premise. What happened to you shaped you. It deserves to be honored with compassion, patience and care.

At its core, trauma-informed transformation holds five commitments:

Safety. You set the pace. Every step unfolds in its own time. Your heart opens when it is ready, and that readiness is respected.

Choice. You are sovereign. You decide what you explore, when and how deeply.

Compassion. Every reaction you have ever had made sense in the moment it was born. Each one was your soul’s way of keeping you safe.

Wholeness. You are seen as a whole person, with a history, a heart and a future.

Delight. This is the commitment I bring that changes everything. Your joy is the destination, and it is also the medicine along the way.

Across 25 years of guiding people toward clarity and mission, and through my PhD in Human Bioenergetics, I have seen this again and again. When a woman feels safe, chosen and honored, the transformation moves faster than anyone expects. And when delight enters the room, the deepest layers begin to soften.

Trauma Is a Layer. Delight Is Your Essence.

Here is the teaching that sits at the center of the Law of Delight, and I want you to hold it close.

The universe delighted itself into being. That same delight lives in you. It is already present, unique as your thumbprint. It has nothing to be raised, earned or performed. It is simply you.

Trauma, limiting beliefs and old programming are layers over that delight. They can feel enormous. They can feel like who you are. And they are layers. Your essence underneath remains untouched, whole and luminous.

Transformation strips the layers away. Each one that falls makes you a clearer channel for your own delight. This is why I say transformation is a homecoming. You are returning to the you that was always there.

I explore this more in healing trauma spiritually and finding light in your darkest places.

Why the Old Patterns Keep Replaying

Have you ever wondered why the same pain seems to find you again and again? The same kind of partner. The same money crisis. The same moment where you shut down right before something good happens.

I call this Negative Energy Addiction. The familiar feels safe, even when it hurts. After trauma, the heart learns to expect a certain kind of energy, and it keeps reaching for what it knows. That is why patterns replay.

There is so much compassion in this truth. You are loyal to what once kept you safe. And now you get to choose something new.

Your Tiny Mind, the part of you that runs on ego and fear, holds on to those old patterns as protection. Your Giant’s Heart, the part of you that holds your soul, your delight and your mission, knows the way home. Your heart is 10,000 times more powerful than your mind. This is why I teach heartset. Transformation happens when your Giant’s Heart leads.

The 12 Emotional Gateways

In my private sessions, I guide women through 12 emotional gateways. Each gateway is a passage between where you are and where your soul is ready to go. Each one holds a specific layer, and each one opens into more of your delight.

The gateways meet you exactly where you are. Some women begin at the gateway of betrayal. Some begin with loss. Some begin with a quiet, lifelong sense of not being enough. Every starting place is the right one. The gateway that is calling you is the one that is ready to open.

What I love most is what happens after a gateway opens. Women tell me they feel lighter. They laugh more easily. Ideas arrive. Love arrives. Money moves. Delight shared is delight squared, and the people around them feel it too.

Each gateway also asks for a different kind of care. Betrayal asks for trust to be restored, starting with trust in yourself. Loss asks for space and tenderness. Doubt asks for your own voice to be heard again. Trauma informed healing honors those differences, so the care you meet always fits the gateway you are standing in.

You can discover which gateway is calling you right now with the free assessment at the end of this page.

The Facets of Trauma Informed Healing

Trauma touches every part of life. These are the facets I teach most often, each with its own guide so you can go as deep as your heart wants to go.

Betrayal

Betrayal shatters trust in others and, often, in yourself. It asks you to come home to your own heart first. I share the full path in how to heal from betrayal and come home to yourself again, and I speak about it openly in my podcast episode Healing From Betrayal: Coming Home to Yourself.

Loss and Starting Over

When everything falls away, the loss is enormous. That emptiness is also open ground, and new life rises from it. My phoenix path forward after loss walks you through it step by step.

Self-Sabotage

Self-sabotage is the heart protecting you from a danger that has already passed. When you find the root, you free the power that has been tied up in protection. Read how to stop self sabotage to begin.

Self-Doubt

Doubt is often the echo of an old voice that once made you small. Your own voice is waiting underneath it. I show you how to reclaim it in how to overcome self doubt and become unstoppable.

The Inner Child

So much of what hurts today began when you were small. Meeting that child with love changes everything. Explore inner child healing to sit with the little one within you.

The Shadow

The parts of you that you learned to hide hold some of your greatest gifts. Bringing them home makes you whole. My guide to the shadow self shows you how.

Joy After Trauma

And then, the return of joy. Laughter that surprises you. Mornings that feel light again. I wrote a step-by-step guide for exactly this season: how to find joy after trauma.

The DELIGHT Roadmap for Transformation

Trauma informed healing needs a direction. Alignment needs something to align to. This is why every transformation I guide begins with mission.

My DELIGHT Roadmap holds seven steps:

Decide Your Dreams and Desires. Your Mission I’mPossible. After trauma, desire can feel dangerous. Reclaiming it is an act of courage. Desire is sacred.

Enlightened Epiphanies. The moments when you suddenly see the pattern, and seeing it begins to set you free.

Love and Light. Meeting every layer with love, so it can soften and release.

Inspired Intuitive Action. Small, heart-led steps that come from your Giant’s Heart.

Growth and Gains. Noticing and celebrating every bit of progress.

Higher Focus and Awareness. Keeping your attention on the life you are creating.

Total Transformation. Becoming the clear channel for your delight that you have always been.

A Gentle Practice to Begin Today

This practice is safe to do on your own, any time you feel an old layer rising. Go slowly. You set the pace.

The Heart Haven

  1. Find a quiet place and sit comfortably. Let your eyes soften or close.

2. Rest one hand over your heart.

3. Breathe slowly in and out three times, letting each breath travel to your heart.

4. Gently name what is here, with no judgment: “Fear is here.” “Grief is here.” “Anger is here.” Naming it honors it.

5. Say to that feeling: “I see you. You make sense. You kept me safe.”

6. Now look for one tiny thread of delight in this moment. Sunlight on the wall. A sip of tea. The sound of a bird. Let your heart rest on it for a few breaths.

7. Close by saying: “My delight is still here. I am coming home.”

Do this once a day for a week. You may be surprised how quickly that tiny thread of delight grows into a whole tapestry.

If you are already supported by a therapist or counselor, keep that support close. This practice and that support can walk together beautifully. And if you are in crisis, please reach out to a local crisis line or emergency service right away. Your safety comes first.

Questions You May Be Asking

What is trauma informed healing?

Trauma informed healing is an approach that honors the impact of what you have lived through and puts your safety, choice and pace first. It meets every reaction with compassion and sees you as a whole person. In my teaching, it also returns you to the delight that lives beneath every layer of trauma.

What are trauma informed healing practices?

They are gentle practices that let you set the pace and stay in choice. Naming what you feel without judgment, returning to small moments of delight, and meeting old patterns with compassion are all examples. The Heart Haven practice above is one you can begin today.

What does healing centered mean?

Healing centered approaches focus on your wholeness, your strengths and your future, alongside what you have lived through. It is a beautiful companion to trauma-informed transformation. Both honor your past and keep your eyes on the life you are creating.

Can I feel delight while I am still grieving?

Yes. Delight and grief can sit side by side in the same heart. A few minutes of delight a day gives your heart a place to rest, and over time those moments grow. Delight is part of the healing itself.

Your Delight Is Still Here

Remember that heaviness that greets you in the morning? It is a layer. Under it, there is a you who wakes up curious, who laughs easily, who loves without bracing. That you has been here all along, waiting for you to come home.

I am so glad you are here. You are wanted here. And your path back to delight begins with one gateway, one breath, one tiny thread of joy.
